UEA Academic Courses (For Chinese-Taught)

IFP Academic Courses for UEA are delivered to international students in and out of China at CCN IFP Centres, which have been strictly approved by CCN Academic Committee in accordance with CCN IFP Quality Assurance Policy and Procedure.

Academic Calendars

For Full-Time Students:

UEA Programmes available in three standard routes, which apply to all the streams. The standard schedule of Academic Year is shown below:

Route A:

  • 42 teaching weeks

  • 1260 academic hours

  • September – July

Route B:

  • 20 teaching weeks

  • 600 academic hours

  • April – August

Route C:

  • 12 teaching weeks

  • 360 academic hours

  • May – August

For Part-Time Students:

UEA is also made available online for part-time students to enable them to start preparations at their earliest possible time. Guided by same learning outcomes and curriculum as for Full-time Students, with flexible timetables, UEA-PT can be taken by students in parallel with their high school or university studies in home country. University Admissions & Scholarships

Solely Sufficient Criteria for University Admissions & Scholarships

Scholarships

Upon successful completion of IFP study for UEA, UEA students are admitted into member universities based on their IFP results, and awarded with scholarships if with required IFP results by targeted university.

Required IFP Results by CCN Member Universities Offering UEA Programmes

Guarantee for University Admissions & Scholarships

UEA students will be conditionally offered a guarantee for Admissions and Scholarships by a specific university for a specific degree programme before they start IFP study. The places for admissions and scholarships are reserved for UEA1-1 students with different academic conditions. If students have completed IFP study and successfully achieved the results as listed in the conditional offers, they will be guaranteed to be admitted into the university and awarded with scholarship accordingly.

More than 700 (723) UEA students from from over 12 countries have graduated from IFP and been successfully admitted into 16 CCN member universities studying UEA degree programmes.

Scholarship Awards

Compared to international students without foundational studies, UEA graduates who have met university requirements with excellent academic results, have more opportunities for scholarships offered by the universities. Amongst all UEA graduates who have been awarded scholarships, about 53% of them have been awarded full scholarships by CCN member universities, while 47% of them have received partial scholarships based on their IFP academic results.
